In my experience they are far from brainless, but the how much brainy they are and how much they show their capabilities varies a lot. I have had extremely smart and extremely dumb cats in my life, single example here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13272071 but that did not affect in any way their hunting/killing capabilities, that part is something that is independent. |
