That is... a rather odd argument. As a user, why would I care if the main thread is blocked while a modal alert is displayed? If anything, that's probably the expected behaviour! An argument I could understand would be that `alert` etc look like system prompts, rather than something from the browser - but that's a browser concern that Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari etc could easily solve if they wanted. |
