In my first job, I took standup to be a pace keeping device, so for a while I would hack together something to have it ready, or if I did two things in a day, I would withhold one to have something to report the next day. I did not continue to do that as when a task carried over into the next day I wasn’t hassled about it, but whenever things like this occur I have to wonder if there are places where this strategy would be required. |
