For business continuity: open source > proprietary > proprietary with activation servers > SaaS All of those have bins within them too. For example, Google SaaS, or bootstrap startup, will be lower continuity than vendors known for LTS. Business continuity also changes the buy-build dynamic in ways not always factored in. |
