I remember going to college eager to learn and explore ideas that were _different_ than mine. I grew up at the poverty line, in one of the top 10 wealthiest towns in America. Naturally they were very white and also any taint from anything immoral was covered up. If I hadn't had such an open mind, I'd still be living in that bubble.

I don't think I'd have the same experience today nor would I have been set up to open my mind to issues because "warnings."

This seems self-contradictory. If you were eager to learn and explore different ideas, surely you would have just ignored the warnings?

As is, I think most people ignore them.
