Funny to compare the western press's coverage of this story with how they've reported incidents nearer to home where Islamic extremists have deliberately driven vehicles into people.
For example, BBC World Service's news coverage concentrated on whether or not the charged man would have the right to appeal against whatever sentence he is handed down and whether he'd be sent to the mainland to serve it. They didn't even mention the injuries received by the cops he tried to run down.
And I see the same sentiment being expressed here in the comments. Just because China is the bad guy here makes it OK to deliberately ride a vehicle into people?
