Honestly, I would expect the average to be higher, but maybe the truly large inheritances are shielded as trusts or hidden off-shore. But now I'm curious what the median inheritance is for the 1%? Lower than that (mathematically) but is it $0? I might take that bet. But the SCF doesn't seem to go finer than the 1% bucket.
