In six months we'll have a clearer idea of where US inflation is heading. Particularly wage inflation. The velocity of money is down, so there's money waiting to be unleashed, stuck by uncertainty. Which asset will benefit? Bonds have been great for 40 years, and we expect to see interest-rate trouble to first show up outside the US. Stocks and income property seem very high. I don't know the answer, but things will have shifted in six months. Hope that the shifts are gradual. |
