There are many kinds of internships that can be considered good I think. And it also partly depends what your goals and/or aspirations are. Types that come to mind that I would consider good: - Big brand names (like FAANG or some Unicorn/Big N type) => helps with getting jobs in the future - Place where you can learn a lot, most likely either a company where you can get a lot of hands-on mentorship, or startups where you get to actually ship things and work on a team just like any other member => helps with actually learning how to build software - Something really specific to a industry/field/niche that you are interested in => helps to explore what you really like and want to do in the future For best "outcome" you will likely want to do multiple with a some combination of those. Of course best situation would be to get to combine all of those. As cliche as it may sound, I wouldn't consider money too much. It's more important to learn and get experience, the big bucks are anyways made after internships in full-time work. |
