My job opportunities are limited to what my real connections and friends can help me get.

If I want to expand my opportunities I have to add nodes and strong ties in my network.

Not gimmicks for the interview lottery and pray the hiring manager doesn't have a friend going for the job.

From my past positions I suspect people highly underestimate how many times they go on an interview with no real chance for the position because the hiring manager already has someone in their real network in mind. I mean a real friend or friend of a friend, not someone they just added on social media but don't really know.
