It needs feminism as much as it needs male chauvinists. Which is zero need in both instances. What Data Science needs is more precision and better techniques, not more polarizing ideas that imply that Data Scientists somehow have a prejudice against women.

Data scientists are people, we have all kinds of biases, the difference is that their work has a lot of impact. Technology and society has always been closely intertwined.

For sure, there are a lot of misguided attempts at equality out there, like what Hollywood does these days with setting up female characters as infallible and white male characters as inept. This is not how representation should work, and you can't have strong characters without flaws, fears and actual challenges to overcome.
