Hospitalisation data not a reason to doubt the vaccine - its a risk, the older you get, the higher risk you are. A few highlights from the article:

> Sir Patrick Vallance said: "In terms of the number of people in hospital who've been double-vaccinated, we know it's around 60% of the people being admitted to hospital with COVID."

At present many more younger people are being admitted to hospital than older people in the UK. Given that older people are mostly vaccinated this could indicate vaccine efficacy. In June, around 70 percent of admitted patients were aged less than 65 and less than 30 percent were aged more than 65. Be interesting to know how the 60% quoted are split in terms of age.
