As an HPC sysadmin who's helping a lot of people, I do both, selectively. We're very helpful as a team, but this helpfulness is being abused by some people after certain point. You need to distance yourself from these people and tell them to RTFM and do their homework first. Otherwise I can neither do my work or help anyone else. |
