Did PyTorch increase or decrease demand for ML developers? Did Ruby on Rails increase or decrease demand for web developers? Did C increase or decrease demand for systems programmers? Automation and abstraction is a complement, not a substitute. If CoPilot works and we get to focus on higher level goals and developer throughout increases, it will be good for developers and good for the world. I hope CoPilot succeeds. |
