Why does Arduino fear that cheap clones from Shenzhen will supposedly destroy their business model if full design files are released, but Adafruit (for example) does just fine? Maybe Arduino needs to focus on good engineering, better value for money, good support and documentation, good user experience, losing the terrible slow bloated “IDE” which lacks any real IDE features, make something like a VSCode plugin which is much faster and built on a real IDE, and focus on bringing down their uncompetitive high hardware prices. |
