Hello, long time (occasional) user of audacity here, who doesn't mind opt-in telemetry but surely is very angry at opt-out telemetry!

What's your personal view (and that of others reading this thread) on software freedom and how to develop free software?

I'm glad you people went with libera.chat and not Telegram. IRC is standard tech that can be bridged from Matrix/XMPP (and others). But what about github? I don't think github is fit for free software development (being a centralized, non-free platform) but i understand the argument that everybody's on there. More specifically, do you have infrastructure for the website/CI/CD so you don't have to rely on Github Pages/Actions?
