Not at the moment. I’ve been struggling with this really hard but have decided to wait. I WFH, don’t really have contact with many people, have good hygiene and in generally good health. I’m in my early 30s and am looking to get pregnant this summer. The risk of GETTING covid first and then hospitalization or death in my age group is low. Taking the vaccine is a 100% event with a small % of side effects. The side effects can effect women (short term at the least) so I am not looking risk family planning. I have a young child but they are at even lower risk of developing problems from covid (shes healthy). I don’t have any underlying illnesses. As well, I’m not comfortable with the fact that THIS is the only way out of the pandemic. I’m waiting also on the ivermectin clinical trials (and others) to be “official” despite many studies have confirmed it reduces covid symptoms. Vaccines have become so political that I am with another poster here where I don’t want to be pressured to make a hasty decision on my health when I’ve done a lot of research and have taken my own risk based decision. Doesn’t mean I’ll never get it but everyone says to make a data driving decision and I’ve made mine on the data we have right now. |
