Ask HN: Non-Subscription Paid Software Recommendations

Hi HN,

Does anyone have suggestions for great software (ideally crafted by a small indie team, but, anything is fine) that you've paid for that does NOT involve a subscription or various kinds of in-app monetization?

I'm thinking of gems like Sublime Text, etc - which are really good for a single task and where you can buy a lifetime license for a reasonable price. Ideally multiplatform, but, Windows or Linux only is fine as well.
