of the 20 or so machines I've owned in the last 15 years I think only one of them has had a TPM, and that was an enterprise laptop no gaming motherboard I've ever had has had a TPM edit: seems like the intel PTT bios option counts, so maybe not a huge problem (though it's off by default everywhere) |

edit: Looks like TPM 2.0 is not a hard requirement, only 1.2. This will likely still result in a lot of users left out of Windows, but the year of the Linux desktop may be delayed again. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/windo...
