(Tangential) I'm in Brazil [1] for the first time and was intrigued to learn that the word for "advertising" is "propaganda". Of course anyone who has read Edward Bernays or seen Century of the Self will know the connection, but interesting nonetheless! [1] I also learned that they spell it "Brasil" here. |
