I've seen "lines of code" used against someone at Amazon before. I'm sure the manager knew that it isn't a performance metric, but the manager had to hit a Unregretted Attrition (PIP) target so they just threw whatever they could think of at the person. The institutional mechanism behind this insane thing is the URA target, just like many other insane things posted in this thread. |
