Really good questions and pushback. Thank you. I've worked with people with 0-15 years of experience across completely different roles and industries. I look for yes's to the following questions (as well as a few others): 1. Is this person competent in their target role?
2. Does this person lack a sales and marketing background (this costs you a few months more of job searching, lower offers, etc.)?
3. Does this person lack time and energy (e.g. if you're full-time at a company, you probably don't have the time to apply to jobs)?
4. Does this person value their time a lot? (Landing interviews can take several hours a month - some people would rather spend that time in other places). |
