I've been a community manager since 1996 and at all the companies I've worked, even the biggest ones, we did look at that feedback and use it. It was usually my job to read it all over and report back to the product team with numbers and suggestions. Granted, sometimes it didn't make business sense to implement a feature so we didn't act on it, but for the most part it is the desire of companies to make products that are appealing to their users. So, yes, companies look at and discuss your feedback.

Unless it's just 'this sucks', people are reading and using your feedback.
