Is it just me or has Stripe come out with like 4 new products in the last month?

Damn -- 4 products in the last week.
Terminal is not a new product - only Stripe Reader is. The other readers are made by third parties.
I wonder what 4 products they come up with next week.
still a bummer they got rid of their Stripe Crypto offering
I guess this went under the radar (heh), but they also introduced a new React component called Stripe Payment Element, to help with local payment methods around the world: https://twitter.com/jordanstaniscia/status/14052064129473822...
I think the push of announcements is linked to Stripe Sessions: https://sessions.stripe.com/
With a value of $95B, they are the largest yc alum now. They can afford to invest in building lots of new products.
I am just dreaming - any big boys - Apple/Google/Amazon talking to them to acquire?
The end goal of every company doesn't have to be "get acquired by a major tech company".
It should almost NEVER be.
But unfortunately, it often is
Isn't that a worst-case scenario? The last thing we want is mire consolidation in the tech industry.
Aren’t they a bit big for that now?
That doesn't matter anymore, it seems.

See: Disney portfolio

I don’t think they’ve ever made a $95 billion acquisition. Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, each ~$4-7 billion. I believe Fox was their biggest acquisition by far, and it was decently close to Stripe, at $71 billion.

But yeah, a $95 billion acquisition would be huge, and very rare.

Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple petitioned to buy Disney (market cap ~320B, Apple Cash on hand ~200B)
I mean why would they?

Especially when Apple has Apple Pay. Which is sort of a competitor.

They're announcing these in anticipation for Stripe Sessions, a two-week developer conference of sorts. [0]

Impending IPO?
“We still have no plans to IPO,” Collison said. [1]

I guess it’s related to the IPO? A good time to scratch off low hanging fruits from your product roadmap to beef up your offering.
think they had their big yearly conference where they announce all their new stuff, so it isnt like they are just madly executing and releasing new products everyday in general.
Not just you, saw multiple of their new products on HN
