If all this were true, there would be no reason for the U.S. to want to double tariffs on Canadian lumber: https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/lumber-price... This is purely protectionism, and keeps lumber prices artificially high. (Mind you, the reverse is true in the dairy industry with the trade barriers that Canada imposes.) |
