Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience. Since I’m a teenager, I like an Israeli singer (Omer Adam) and I’d never been to his concert. So, now the corona is gone he announced he’s having a concert in Israel and I was excited about it. So, I start calling my friends one by one and ask them to come with me. All of them were busy or did not like this singer. So, I ask my colleagues to come. They were busy also. So, I resign myself no to go and wait for the next time he’ll appear. Suddenly, I received a call from one of my colleagues and he says that his wife knows someone who knows someone etc. who loves this singer. I had so much desire to attend this concert that I just ask for his number and text him. We talk a little bit on WhatsApp and we decide to attend this event together. It was the best concert I ever been to in my life. The concert was great, and it was so fun to be with someone like him. We had a lot of fun (for the record we are still in contact now). So when I wake up the morning after the concert, I start asking my friends: “did you ever cancel an event because no one was here to come with you?” and most of the answers were “Yes”. So, I thought there is something to do for the community. I start to build a small website where I will connect people who share the same passion. I thought it simple, just a form to fill with a small description of yourself, and which events do you want to attend and I will find you a partner. I already made 2 matches and these people were happy. Now that corona is over let’s enjoy life. Whatever what’s your passion there is always someone to share it with you. You just don't know him yet. If you want to go to an event, and don't have anyone interested to go with you. Don't miss out on the opportunity that you're interested in. It's perhaps something that people need to learn when they grow up, but you can have a great time just going by yourself. Take yourself out on a date if no one else is going to ;)

I'm agree but as I said before i don't love to go to an event alone it's always more fun to share with someone. Hopefully I met someone who came with me and It was fun. My friends were busy so I didn't fit and If I can bring to other the happiness of going out with someone like me it can be with pleasure.

I don't know if I'm right but going to a concert or a festival will always be more fun with others. :)

At the end I think that because of social media we are more alone and a website like that can help us share our experiences with others. It's just benefits !

I have found that the philosophy of “I will have even less fun not going at all rather than going alone so I should at least go alone” works wonders.

Hey dude, I just read a bunch of the comments here. The HN crowd was always going to be a tough sell. Too many lone wolves, and proud ones at that (!), who don't realise that not everyone has the same sense of self-assurance to do things alone, and who forget that many others prefer company much more than they do.

I think the idea is great. As you realised yourself, COVID laid waste to a lot of social networks (the in-person kind, not facebook & co), so the timing of your project could hardly be better. The website looks slick, the url is a fantastic choice. I wish you the best of luck.

I will try to do my best, for now it's just a side-project to help people as much as I can and we'll see.

Dude yeah I like high quality techno music and I go to shows by myself sometimes since none of my friends really understand a good rave.

Sometimes I just rave solo but sometimes I make new friends and almost always enjoy it.

It can happen; I prefer going with someone and also making new friends there :)
