Mozilla decided they’re visual noise.

They're making you agitated, apparently:

"Cohesive, calmer visuals: Lighter iconography, a refined color palette, and more consistent styling throughout."

That reminds of Jetbrains removing colors on icons because it was "distracting".

Sure, let's remove things that help me find what I want to click on quicker.

Nothing will beat that time Microsoft decided to put all the Visual Studio menu text in caps.

They've since regained their sanity.
