I'm addicted to Coca-Cola. What you described with the switch reflects exactly my experience.

I did have tried smoking cigarettes. It never made an addict. I actually don't smoke (I don't like the "taste" of cigarettes).

And the reason I never tried hard drugs is because I'm afraid I may become an addict, although I would love to experiment them at least once.
