The complaint, as I understand it, hasn't been the US does too much; it's been that the US has adopted an incredibly violent and inefficient system to fighting drugs by heavily punishing users. Throwing an entire generation of drug users in jail did little to curb the actual inflow if illegal drugs into America. |
