No, I was just surprised - I don't know anything about NetBSD (nor pkgsrc for that matter), but I worked with FreeBSD some 15 years ago and there were plans to move to SVN even back then. A quick search told me that the switch was completed in 2008 (a little bit after I left, begrudgingly, for Linux). What challenges are there in switching to another VCS? Is the difficulty coming from the need to preserve history, or the need to re-evaluate workflows around the repo, or something else entirely? |
