Honestly starcraft has taught me the opposite of that. It taught me that paying attention and making things up on the spot works well into 5k MMR (upper 90th percentile of performance). It taught me that most people overthink. Then go and try to do fancy things without doing basic things correctly first. I believe a fair amount of that translates into real life. People think too much about non important things and neglect the actually important stuff in the process. |
