You might be too early to those companies. In your case, I would learn about people first before doing anything. During a pandemic, everything just becomes hard for everybody so if you don't really know people (at least in-person contact or a strong ref) - should not invest too much time.

I have 11+ years of experience in PHP and 7+ in Node.js and 6+ in Golang. Numbers in experience is also not a factor, I have shown my live apps where some of them have reached 2 million+ visitors monthly.

I have uploaded 2 app in github with 8+ unique clone already in last 3 days for both the app.

I have recently plan to start remote job, so, I am 100% sure, it's not my skill.

But again, You may be right - I might be too early. No idea, but above is my experience, I wanted to share with community.
