Not seeing the vision; why would anyone choose to watch ads if there was nothing in it for them?

That seems worse than the current situation (for me) - right now I’m ‘paid’ to watch ads by being able to access services (eg YouTube) which would otherwise come at a direct cost.

Sometime I know I’m about to buy something I need and I’m open to suggestions. I would watch ad at this point.

People do it all the time on Netflix, Steam, Amazon etc. Why do you believe people would stop doing that?

It might be worth it to me to see things that I might want to buy.
