What I'm about to say I've already said elsewhere in this post, but Audacity has been an incredibly loved and popular FOSS project for 22 years and it's done that without using telemetry. It's hard for me to not be pessimistic and see the recent sale of Audacity and the introduction of telemetry as the beginning of the end. |
