Code being 2d and not immersive, I don't see any benefit using VR over a monitor.

I would probably not use this at my workstation, but I have several times thought about a VR solution when traveling. I do travel for extended periods of time, and have brought my 27" 1440p with me, but it would be nice to not have to drag that thing around. Replacing it with a VR headset could be an interesting solution.
