The problem with this is that schools tend to very specifically teach TI calculators while leaving other calculators to the children to self-teach. This is fine if you're a kid who likes/understands/cares about calculators, but if you're not and you don't like math or find learning a specific UI with no guidance annoying it can be bad. I knew kids of both varieties in HS. |
