Maybe the problem is that Musk keeps thinking the Autonomy scale is linear; it's not. Level 3 Autonomy is 10x as hard as Level 2; Level 4 is 10x as hard as level 3, etc. I don't know if 10 is the right multiplier here, but the point is the difficulty is exponential. Musk's engineers know this but for whatever reason he can't or won't understand it. |
