This poor guy hates programming so much he's taken the first steps to becoming a Batman villain.

My 11 year old daughter has a phobia of birds which I have a hard time to take seriously given she also has a phobia of dogs, cats, insects or little bits of black lint that might be an insect. This fear both makes me unable to follow this plan for befriending crows, and really makes me want to do it.

You should share this knowledge with her. That way if you're killed by a random criminal she can embrace her fear and become Crow-Woman.
