I thought Calibri was a great choice for a font to be the first sans-serif default font, replacing the iconic and ubiquitous Times New Roman. it had a softer look compared to Arial, idk how to describe it
Calibri is an excellent typeface. I'm happy they're move on to another one because that means it won't be used as much as it is right now, and we will desaturate from it. It is an amazing font that doesn't deserve to be brutally exposed like that.
