The only real use case I see for this is for anyone working from an under powered machine who needs to run _really_ resource heavy web apps. If your working in tech, chances are you're running with at least 16gb ram and a half decent CPU. I'm sure there's some edge cases where this _could_ be useful, but certainly not at that price point. Can you install Chrome extensions? Does it support things like adblock? What are some concrete use cases and examples of who this is for? The marketing talks about the ability to have more tabs open... In my experience, once you go beyond about 25 tabs (15" mbp) they basically become impossible to mentally manage. Maybe rather than having 50+ chrome tabs open, people need to learn how to manage resources on their machines. |
