I thought it was Naples FL, tied with Newport Beach, CA. Every financial offer I've gotten with one of those places in the return address has been extremely scammy looking, and I lost a pile of money to a Newport Beach scammer in the 80s. But then Georgia allows loan terms that are not allowed in other states, so predatory lenders like to be based in GA, IIRC. I think Florida is second in allowing non-consumer-friendly loan terms though. |
