Yup. Doesn't look like there is a way back. I wonder what this will mean for the JS-experience in Rails. Rails is so big it lives outside Basecamp, but Hotwire is so tied to the company.

this was very relevant to me and something I didn't know - the employees found out at the same time as the outside world. Jason and DHH seem to not have bothered getting internal consensus first before going ahead with this thing. (confirmed with sam)
