We have desktop users with anywhere from 1400 to 3200pixel screen widths, so the concept of having a 'desktop site' without any kind of flow logic at all just doesn't make sense to me. You end up with sites like daringfireball that is always 512 pixels of content centered in however wide your window is. On a 16:9 display this is extremely awkward. On a 1.85:1 or 2.39:1 display this looks dumb as hell. |
