I watched the talk and didn't find it that interesting. Worst case scenario you can experiment to figure it out. Experiments in software are cheap. Compare it to the hardware level. The technology required to build a modern CPU is fucking amazing compared to things like being aware of cache coherency when writing code. The amount of time and experimentation to regain the knowledge required for building the full supply chain a modern CPU would be monumental compared to learning to go from something like JS to C. |
