Users who break the site guidelines around political flamewar always feel like we ban them for their politics. Actually we just ban people for breaking the guidelines. We don't care what your favorite flavor of politics is any more than your favorite ice cream. Actually your favorite ice cream would be more interesting, because it gets discussed less. The tedium of these internet battles cannot be overstated.
