There's a huge amount of crap people get up to that is mostly about performative debt balancing - people feel that they're owed something just because <fill in the blank>, when it really didn't matter. Just another gross aspect of a culture overly reliant on litigation for conflict management. But. the question is meaningless without qualifying, for whom? Because I can absolutely imagine situations where an Auth0 outage could be extremely damaging, expensive, or both. Same for a lot of other services. > Life doesn't have an SLA Nope. Which is a part of the reason why people spend money on them for certain specific things. It is just another form of insurance against risk. |
