I think it's worth it. I'm at the point where I think any non apple laptop is a waste of money. I own a software consultancy and charge about $700 a day for my time. My MacBook regularly has uptimes of over a month. Sometimes I work in an office with people using Windows machines. Sometimes their bluetooth earphones won't connect. The mic doesn't work on Zoom sometimes. Doesn't wake from sleep. Things like that. That's what I'm happy to pay to for. My last 2 Macs have both lasted 5 years no problems and if you ever do have one you can pretty much go into any apple store and have it back in a week. That's the benefit to me. If the machines were 2x the price I'd still pay it.

Macbooks are notorious for having BT issues. I've personally owned two MBPs that have had BT issues and know many friends who have also.

I've personally owned 0 Apple devices with no BT issues, I also have zero friends who have had BT issues.

The multiple of anecdote is not data.

I agree with your point.

In the process of searching to fix my issues I found many other people complaining about related problems. I don't have actual data on the issue, Apple would never release such a thing, but if it was very rare there wouldn't be so many others complaining.

But that also applies to the other person.

Going with what you say, no anecdote is data.

do you not see the irony in your comment
I totally feel you on the Apple store part. That's another feature that is very tempting to me. Anything break? Fine, drive straight to the Apple store and get it taken care of.
Yep anywhere in the world! And the nice thing is that a lot of people buy the products so manufacturing issues are usually brought to light and you get extended warranty for that issue.
Unfortunately, that only happens in first world countries. Lots of countries still don't have a single Apple store.
The whole sidecare / iPad for a second monitor would be pretty cool, too.
not sure how you earning 700$ is relevant to this iMAc
