Girls tend to have a higher "conscientiousness" score on big 5. Which means they tend to work harder at delayed-gratification (or even no-gratification) work. Also, girls are often shy about getting the credit for things, and make good team players. I guess you're right with men only working on these things if they are good at it - that's a survivor bias. |
