I agree with all of this and I appreciate it, but ultimately there will always be the people who are willing to use their ambition to trample on the rights of others, this is why we have a government.

Ultimately while it is up to us developers, it's also up to us to lobby our representation for actual protection. Surely the last four decades of I tense laissez faire business practice in the world's largest economy has helped leaf directly to our situation.

I would maybe advise removing some of the building and underlines for something more elegant and perhaps provide some links to help people find their representatives. We are underrepresented, but while that is another discussion it highlights how important your message is to us devs. We have power.
