It seems like as soon as spacex has more polar satellites they'd be able to match this service with lower latency because they'll be closer to the earth. The only thing spacex can't handle is dense areas of usage like a big city, but Alaska doesn't have that kind of density. These can be targeted to a specific user or area they say, but still seems like Spacex could cover a lot of their use case. What are their advantages then?

Yeah, I also wonder. Best ping for geosynchronous orbit is over 200ms.
